Hi Moira & everyone -

Thanks for your note [below]. We're all glad to hear you and your loved ones are OK. As much as I've been meaning to get some information posted on this list, it's been a bit difficult to get focused, as I'm sure has been the case with most of us....

A search of my database for New Yorkers reveals just a couple of additional names. MIKE HICKEY (who is on this list) and his wife Ellen live on 82nd Street. MARY BETH KUHN, the great niece of Carl B. Kern (her father's mother was C.B. Kern's sister), lives in the 10014 zip code near Greenwich Village. CATHERINE DEME, a friend (relative?) of the Roehm family who supported the construction of the Ralph Roehm cabin lives in the 10009 zip code, which I believe is on the eastern end of lower Manhattan. I searched for the 10048 zip code which I understand was the one for the World Trade Center, and I don't have anyone in my database who worked there.

If anyone has any additional information you'd like to pass on, please don't hesitate to e-mail me.

- Stuart

Stuart -

Hello, and I hope this finds you and yours well. I'm a New Yorker, and have been these past four years or so. After things went so wrong on last Tuesday I am, thankfully, alright. And those I know and love are as well. Could we check to make sure all on the Kern list are alright? See if anyone needs anything?

Thanks,
moira stone

Stuart,

Thank you for the update. I am happy to hear that all is well and safe with the other NYC Kernies. Mike is safe - as well as my sister Cathy who has recently moved to Brooklyn New York. It was touch and go for a while since Mike's office building is directly adjacent to the WTC. We are very thankful that all he lost was a pair of running shoes. Thanks again for the note and the update.

Sincerely,
Matt

Me and mine are fine too. mother-in-law worked right next to the North tower but was out at a meeting when this all happened. Friends are fine too. Although still waiting to here from some Law Enforcement friends. Please keep them in your thoughts.
Laura

P.S. I'm working in DC until i can get transferred to NYC so I'm helping to guard our national treasures.
