Most of them come back to mind--there's one phrase that won't surface:
The Song of the Triple K Ranch Staff
I think I do have the lyrics of Tennessee Stud written down somewhere, but I'll have to look it up. I'm headed for Kern today for a weekend of Family Camp so maybe the atmosphere there will help me remember.

Here are the lyrics Lynn was missing : We never feed horses, we think its absurd Fore each little oat turns into a turd. Cleaning the stalls in itself is okay, but we really get tired of recycled hay. The dust in the barnyard is really quite thick. To teach a class init could make us quite sick. So therefore we won't teach our classes today. We'll just go to the old barn and lay in the hay. We love main camp trail rides, we fight for the chore. A walk around the lake is really a bore. The horses eat grass, the kids scream and cry. And good old Charlie Brown just heaves a great sigh. I hadn't thought about that song in years, but I can hear the tune and picture the dancing that went with it! Amy (Rietman) Vershel Ranch camper/staff 1973-79 [Thanks, Amy!] - - - - - - - - - - |
